Novel Coronavirus Outbreak
The Novel Coronavirus outbreak has been widely reported in the media, and alerts have been issued by the World Health Organisation and the Ministry of Health, Singapore. AIG Singapore is treating this Event as known and foreseen, effective 30 Jan 2020.
AIG Singapore will not cover any claims arising from this Event if your policy was issued on or after 30 Jan 2020, 0001 hours. For policies issued prior to 30 Jan 2020, 0001 hours, we will assess claims based on the policy terms and conditions.
Notwithstanding the above, for travel to Wuhan or Mainland China, AIG Singapore will not cover any claims arising from this Event, if your policy was issued on or after:
||22 Jan 2020, 0001 hours for insured(s) travelling to Wuhan
||27 Jan 2020, 0001 hours for insured(s) travelling to the rest of Mainland China
subject to the terms and conditions of your policy.
Large-scale protests in Hong Kong
There have been large-scale protests in Hong Kong since Jun 2019.
No cover will be provided for losses or damages in connection with such ongoing protests and associated disruptions unless the Travel Guard or Travel Guard Direct policy was purchased before 5 Aug 2019, 0001 hours.
Will my medical expenses be covered if I fall sick during my trip?
Yes, Travel Guard plans cover medical expenses incurred overseas, up to S$2,500,000 depending on the plan type purchased.
Will my medical expenses be covered if I visit a doctor only when I return to Singapore?
Yes, Travel Guard plans cover post-trip medical expenses incurred in Singapore. You are required to seek medical treatment in Singapore within 48 hours upon your arrival in Singapore. After which, you will have up to a maximum of 30 days to continue medical treatment in Singapore.
Does Travel Guard cover my cruise?
Yes, Travel Guard provides coverage whether you are travelling by cruise, plane, train or automobile.
